| October 20th, 2006 - Shane and "the band" truly ROCKED the night away for the Red Ribbon Rock held at William and Mary out on the Crim Dell Meadow.   Shane was shocked when the crowd started to chant, "Inner Pain" which is one of his songs off of the Flying Naked CD.   The crowd came prepared as many of them knew the words.   Will Murphy and Christian Amonson really played hard and it was an electric performance! | October 7th, 2006 - Shane Cooley, Christian Amonson and Will Murphy had a full day of gigging.   They started out WET as 4-6 inches of rain fell throughout the Williamsburg area.   Unfortunately, the West Point Carnival was meant to be outdoors but that didn't stop the music and crab lovers of Virginia!   Shane and the band were moved inside to a make-shift stage but the building was dry and was packed with a crowd as the show went on - acoustic style! Kudos to the committee for organizing a great event. After the mid-day performance, Shane, Christian and Will hopped in the "band van" and "waded" their way back to William and Mary in the University Center Commonwealth Auditorium - just in time to jump onstage for their performance for the winners of the Leadership Awards for High School seniors.   Shane rocked the place when he climbed the wall in the middle of the auditorium and kicked it up a bit on the electric guitar.   As Shane made his "walkabout" throughout the audience, many followed him back onstage and danced to the delight of the crowd and the band.   Kudos to Christian and Will for showing they "got" what it takes to be a rockin' band! | |

| |
| August 28th, 2006 - Shane and drummer, Christian Amonson , performed several of Shane's original songs at the first Open Mic of the semester at William and Mary (ranked 6th among public universities and colleges).   Not a bad gig, considering Shane had just arrived at his dorm 4 days earlier.   The event took place at Lodge 1 in the University Center and the crowd got free Shane "Cooley" cups thrown out to them!
A various array of talent - poets, singers, bands - performed during the evening which provided a night of entertainment to the students of W&M. Look for more of Shane and Christian and the makings of a new band as they perform around the Williamsburg area. Thanks to Sarah Erb for the photo!

| August 11th, 2006 - Shane made an appearance at Anna's Lounge in Warsaw, Virginia as a guest of The Influence, a great rock band from Virginia Beach.   Shane played many of his new songs that were written after the Flying Naked CD as well as the favs from that CD.   Shane played electric guitar while Christian Amonson (drummer - College of William and Mary) and Tully (bass - The Influence) filled out the "makeshift" band that really rocked the place.   The Influence sang many of their hits off of their new self-titled CD and the music was tight, smooth and rockin'.   Check them out and listen to some songs or better yet- buy the CD on their MySpaceMusic site Kudos and thanks to The Influence, a hard working group of talented and nice guys and thanks to Tony of Anna's Italian Restaurant and Lounge.   Many thanx to Christian and Tully! "A big shout out to all my supporters who came out to the show!" ~ Shane | |

| July 19th, 2006 - Shane sang at Songwriters Night at Gena's Place in Eastport, Maryland.   Finally in Maryland, Shane's many relatives, friends and fans were happy to see him perform.   The night started out with local songwriters, Steve Key (from Silver Spring) and Uncle Dave Huber (from Baltimore). Shane sang many of his new songs as well as a few from his Flying Naked CD.   The crowd immediately took notice of Shane's energetic performance and soulful songs. He entertained the crowd while he interacted with them between songs.   All in all, it was a fun night and a great venue for a true acoustic show.   Thanks to Gena and to all of my family and friends for their support! - Shane | |

Ayers.   Jean is related to Williamsburg native, noted singer/songwriter/producer, Bruce Hornsby.   Shane's song, "Day-Lily" will be the theme music on Jean's upcoming Web site - links will be posted on the SCM Link Page as soon as they are available.   Also in Williamsburg, Shane joined in with popular singer, Lewis McGehee at the Principals Conference - his dad Jack Cooley is a high school Principal.
