There is a heart-stopping conviction to the words written and sung by Shane Cooley. His poetry serves up a slice of life that is equally beautiful and truthful. He also inherits his distinctive voice from his 3rd cousin, the late Hollywood actor and entertainer Sterling Holloway (known particularly for being the cartoon voice of Disney's Winnie the Pooh and many others). Whether he's performing his folky, intimate solo sets, or pumping out intricately cathartic indie-folk-rock with his band, The Lucky Kings, Cooley's shows are consistently moving. The 27-year-old has earned his battle scars from years of touring the United States and Europe, independent and self-managed. Originally from rural Virginia, he is currently working out of the music Mecca of Austin, TX, where he is quickly gaining momentum.

Cooley's prolific writing is only matched by his persistence as an artist. After graduating from the College of William and Mary in 2010, he has almost constantly been on the road, honing his skills and learning from other artists. His music has been recognized by contests such as the International Acoustic Music Awards (two time runner-up), Mountain Stage NewSong Contest, and many others. He has showcased unofficially for the USA Songwriting Contest at South By Southwest. His music has been featured on over 300 iHeartRadio websites.

Shane is currently putting finishing touches on an upcoming full-length album, release date TBA.
